Another beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest...misty, cloud cover, intermittent drippings, lush wet greens, and, since it is winter, bare fuzzy branches curving out and reaching up...Skeletons of leafless trees next to rich somnolent evergreens...the rush and sway of the wind in their boughs...

This is the 2nd quarter of Arts, Environment and The Child, and it is turning out to be a transformative experience. Between moving involvements with my ongoing work with first graders, The Painted Word exhibit finished in December, the Lunar New Year celebration, ended only hours ago, and the profound connections I am having with some of the women in this program, I am being yoga'd out...my innerds are being twisted clear, and room is being made for new life to, not only enter in, but blossom forth...I feel I am in labour...
Spring is on it's way...
