[edit] "Only Students"

There was not a whole lot written about The Scarlet Letter between the years 1875 and 1925. There is one artice on JSTOR that discussed the use of the number 7 in the story. There were a whole bunch of random references to the book, none with any important significance however. The only slightly interesting link that could be found between any of the articles in this era was its use in the class room. It is interesting because most people today still only have read it because of a high school experience. The only even significant fact that could be found about its use in highschool is that it was most commonly read amongst eleventh and twelfth grade boys.
