[edit] Synopsis
Pay Attention! My project is called Simultaneously Hit. The final product will be an instillation, where 3 stories are going to be told at once through visuals, audio and text. All three are reactionary pieces, based on true events. The visual story Heartburn, features receiving bad news. The written story is called Upset Stomach, and deals with unexpected death, and the audio story will be called Headache, a recap of a crazy childhood. Heartburn, Upset Stomach and Headache, named after annoying afflictions, are a LOL reference to the project title, and how the audience could possibly feel trying to follow 3 stories at once.

Winter quarter I will work on the visual story, collaborating with my photographer friend, Elise Harper. I am interested in exploring lighting and set design, because photography and video art both rely on preplanned lighting and set design for quality results. We’ll be spending a lot of time in the photo studio, holding one epic, experimental (photo/video) shoot, getting familiar with lighting, the DVX camera and set design; featuring still life, live models, food and monochromatic situations. I will also be working on the audio story this quarter, writing and recording a rap in the recording studio, in 5.1, w/ surround sound.

Spring quarter I will work on hand animating text for the text story, using the 2D animation lab, and editing a non-installation version of all 3 stories.
- Week 1 start editing in 5.1, surround sound
- Week 2 animate, edit in 5.1
- Week 3 animate, edit in 5.1, shoot in 2D lab
- Week 4 shoot in 2D lab
- Week 5 feedback, start editing stories, installation setup plans
- Week 6 editing compiled stories, work on pacing
- Week 7 editing, work on installation
- Week 8 finish editing, finalize installation decisions
- Week 9 last minute things
- Week 10 ready 2 show 3 stories
