  Winter 2009 Program Description:

Toward a Sustainable Puget Sound is a year-long, all-level program. Each quarter focuses on approaches to sustainability in ecosystems ecology, consumption, reasoning, consciousness, leadership, and public policy with an emphasis on issues relevant to Puget Sound. In the winter, we will respond to the following questions:

1) How are policies made; what are the impacts of policies on the people and place of Puget Sound?

2) How are the species of Puget Sound impacted by policy?

3) What are the roles of ecosystems ecology, math, and policy in sustainability?

Our intent is to gain a better understanding of how to approach, analyze, and communicate about sustainability in the Puget Sound.
