How to upload a picture
From Internet: Knowledge and Community
A quick overview on uploading pictures to our wiki:
1) Get a picture file from a site you can obtain the rights to. Try Creative commons search, or better yet take a picture yourself.
2) Shrink the picture to about 260 × 260 pixels so that it fits the wiki standard size without taking too long to load or too much server room. (most basic picture programs include the ability to shrink an image to optimize it for the web. You can try using this web site to shrink the picture. (I don't endorse the site in any way, but it worked when I tried it.) Download the optimized image file to a folder on your computer to a location you can remember (like "My Pictures.")
3) Click on upload a file in the toolbox menu to the right ====>
4) Click browse to find the file hopefully found in your "my pictures" file.
5) Select your picture and then choose an easy to type/ remember name in the "Destination Filename" field.
6) The description is important (But it can be edited in later)this is where you want to input your citation source and proof of digital rights. Open my V for vendetta page and look at the editing for that if you want an idea of how I do it. [1]
