Is the internet catering to agoraphobic, overweight, misanthropes?

I believe that the internet has replaced many forms of communication and interaction with other humans. It is completely possible to conduct your life entirely through the internet nowadays. Instead of going to pick up pizza, you can go online, select toppings, enter your address, and get it delivered while watching the status online the entire time. When you have a medical problem, instead of going to the doctor, you can look up your symptoms on MedMD. Then you can shop on the online pharmacy and have medications delivered to your home overnight. You can work from home on the internet. You can go to school on the internet. Most chain corporations ask for you to apply for jobs over the internet. You can apply for food stamps and unemployment over the internet. Come to think of it... there really isn't anything you cannot do on the internet. So really, why does anyone ever leave their house if they do not wish to? It's too bad you cannot exercise over the internet because we are all spending too much time staring at our computer screens and getting fat.
