YouTube Preview ImageMonty Python’s Flying Circus was a british sketch comedy show that originally aired from 1969 to 1974. The Flying Circus consisted of main players that were both writers, and actors, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and honorary member of the boys club, but always listed as guest star, Carol Cleveland. The Series ran for 4 seasons and has been called influential to many of today’s television series and comedy shows. After The Flying Circus ended, the python crew made 3 successful movies, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python’s Life of Brian, and The Meaning of Life. The remaining members of the Circus crew have all gone on to successful careers, some are still acting, like John Cleese, others like Terry Jones established himself as a director. Eric Idle helped transform the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail into a musical, which brought the crew back together to help adapt the movie into a theater production. Graham Chapman passed away in 1989 from cancer, but the remaining monty boys have always made a point to honor the late Chapman in some way at every group gathering.
