Summer in the City is an academic, travel-based study of life and the arts in urban settings. The program begins with two weeks of urban studies and field study preparation on campus followed by a six week field study in a city chosen by each individual student. Two final weeks on campus are devoted to field study reflection and formal student presentations. Selected field studies in this program include a range of interesting topics including: architecture, the arts, business, city planning, cuisine, housing, transportation, and environmental concerns.
