ASSIGN: Ch. 2 Sound and Hearing. Week 5 assignments. Start Soundscape project.
OCT 8 Week 2 Meet in MML Lib 1404
TOPIC: Peak and Audition intro. Digital audio, plug-ins, and editing techniques. Mixing bench rotations and proficiencies.
ASSIGN: Ch.5 The Analog Tape Recorder
OCT 15 Week 3 Meet in Lib 1328, 5.1 mix
TOPIC: Intro to the Audio Lab, signal flow
ASSIGN: Ch. 3 Studio Acoustics and Design. Develop Soundcloud and Flicker accounts. Sign up for signal tracing.
OCT 22 Week 4 Meet at the Computer Center Lib 2619 Mac Lounge 5:30 – 7:30. Soundscapes DUE 7:30 – 9:00
TOPIC: Developing online blogs using WordPress.

NOV 12 Week 7 Drum recording workshop, Guest lecturer.
TOPIC: Different drum recording techniques and phase issues.
ASSIGN: Ch. 15 Signal Processing. Continue Multi-tracking recording projects.
NOV 19 Week 8 Audio Lab
TOPIC: Live recording and mixing with guest engineer.
ASSIGN: Ch. 14 The Art and Technology of Mixing
