Mediaworks

In light of Douglas Kahn's awesome lecture today, I thought it might be a cool idea to create an affinity group based on MEDIA VENTRILOQUISM.

With this as a topic for our group, we could not only explore different ways of creating our own forms of media ventriloquism (i.e. found sound cut-ups, stunt lips stuff, even 2-D animations set over sound clips?) but we could look deeper into how and why this sort of political / celebrity puppetry happens. 

My only concern is that this may be too medium-specific a topic to form a group from. Thoughts? Comments? Something? ANYTHING?!
