Applying for Admission to Evergreen |
|||
Students in the Evening and Weekend Studies program use the same process for admission as all students at the college. You can begin your studies at Evergreen as a non-admitted special student, however you must be admitted to the college to receive your degree. Admitted students have earlier registration times, register for classes online, and are eligible to apply for financial aid. Admissions requirements vary depending on whether or not you would be a freshman (first-year student) or a transfer student. Applying as a FreshmanYou'll apply as a freshman if you have a high school diploma or GED and you have fewer than 40 transferrable quarter-credits earned through other colleges. Read about the admissions criteria for freshman, including special considerations for students over 25 years of age.Applying as a Transfer StudentYou'll apply as a transfer student if you have 40 or more transferrable quarter-credits earned through other colleges. Generally, if a course is 100 level or higher, academic in nature, and you received a 'C' or better, the credits from accredited schools will transfer over. Any credits earned at Evergreen as a special student will also count toward your degree. Read about the admissions criteria for transfer students. For more details on the admissions process, please see the Admissions web site, or contact our Outreach Coordinator Corey Leneker at (360) 867-6164. |
