NOTE: Last quarter's algebra text will be used as a reference: Explorations in College Algebra, Second Edition.2001. Linda Almgren Kime and Judith Clark. John Wiley & Sons, New York.

Overview:
During Winter quarter, we will study topics in algebra-based physics, including motion, forces, work, energy, waves, and sound (Chapters 1-4, 6, 16, and 17).  Evaluations for the Physics segment of INS will be based on: (1) attendance and participation in lectures, workshops, and labs; (2) completion of in-class assignments and homework assignments; and (3) performance on an in-class final exam.
