Atoms, Molecules and Research (AMR) 2003/04

A Learning Community in Upper Division Chemistry

Each student will conduct a research project in the AMR program. These will be guided by the chemistry faculty at TESC. At the beginning of the fall quarter, students will have the opportunity to talk with the chemists at TESC and decide on projects they want to work on. A list of these project will appear shortly.

During the first 3 weeks in the winter quarter we will conduct library research for the projects under the guidance of Dr. Sara Huntington, library liaison for the AMR program. Students will present their work to the class.

We will begin the laboratory work during week 4 of winter quarter. This work will continue till the end of the academic year.

Students will present their research at the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium of the Puget Sound Section of the American Chemical Society in May 2004.
