Support the Truth: Stop the War on Iraq, February 18th, 7 pm, Capitol Theater. This event has been organized by Dan Leahy and others, Featured speakers will be Scot Ritter (former weapons inspector in Iraq for the UN) and Dahr Jamail (journalist recently returned from Iraq - has slide show of Falujah). Gus Newport, October 18th, 6:30 pm, Recital Hall in the COM building, "The Essential Role of Analyis and Planning in Rebuilding Disinvested Communities" Gus Hall is a former mayor of Berkeley, CA, former Executive Director of the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative in Roxbury and current Executive Director of the Institute for Community Economics.  His community development work in Roxbury is documented in the book Streets of Hope and the video "Holding Ground."
