Simple Sample critique of prison industry and the economic hole in communities that offer little feasible options for single uneducated mothers to live, work, and parent without the means of the alternative [illegal] economy-- prostitution or drug sales. In a lecture given by Angela Davis, she states that less than 1% of funds are provided for welfare yet it's one of the biggest political debates, why is this so? Perhaps society is being taught to see the single parent or struggling communities in need of economic support as the enemy?
