3. For Friday, write a substantive comparison of the IRSM and RAWA websites on your blog. Compare and critique them for style, readability, content, information architecture and effectiveness.

IRSM:
The Irish Republican Socialist Party’s web site is clear and effectively communicated to new users of the site. The art is political yet friendly, and the appearance of the site is inviting which makes me want to go further into the site. The information is clearly stated and well written. There is a large amount of good and informative information, along with more links if needed. They include history and theory on the movement which I found very helpful and organized. Overall I liked this web site and found it to be a well established and user friendly site.
RAWA:
The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA) is a little harsh on first glance; it has gory photos on the front page, and activism art in the top left corner. It is obviously an activist site for change. There are a lot of buttons/links to find more information. The site sometimes uses first person to express its opinions, which seems less formal. It is unclear where to start and not a quick study. On the positive side, the site provides a lot of good information and overall helps one to understand this group’s opinion.
