Wiki Etiquette

[edit] Wiki Etiquette
[edit] Good Manners
The good manners and rules of wiki etiquette are pretty straight forward. Because we are engaged in an academic project, the quality and rhetorical tone of our submissions to the wiki must reflect that. We must maintain contents and a writing style compatible with college level scholarly work. We also need academic honesty from everyone. Plagiarism, and excessive borrowing from sources that is just short of plagiarism, are not acceptable.
Also, the wiki is a fluid working environment, and each author's work is vulnerable to editing and manipulation by others. Changing another's work, even for good-natured fun, can be confusing and destructive. It can create hard feelings unintentionally and put a chill on personal motivation and community solidarity. It's also really easy to trace.
