We, as a learning community, agree to adhere to the following tenets (as much as is humanly possible) as a guideline for our interactions this quarter:

1. Practicing truthfulness, understanding, acceptance, tolerance, flexibility, compassion, forgiveness (both seeking and giving).

2. Expressing open-mindedness and tolerance for other's opinions and perceptions, acknowledging both differences and similarities.

3. Using a problem solving approach to integrate conflicting material.

4. Practicing open communication (avoidance of criticism, contempt, defensiveness, stonewalling).

5 Honoring equal time: 1) for ideas; 2) among people. (This is sometimes difficult when one feels passionately, but please try to monitor yourselves and allow for participation by others.)

6. Creating a safe learning environment.

7. Investment in producing a fun, energetic, enthusiastic, participatory process.

8. Starting and finishing on time.

9. Notifying team and faculty of emergency issues.

10. Being prepared (completing reading and prep for seminars, completing material for workshops and groupwork, turn assignments in on time, etc.).

11. Completing all assignments on time. Failure to do so will result in a reduction of credit.
