Welcome to the homepage for the Fall 2008 PLATO lecture series on the Semantic Web!  Check this page for the latest announcements about the series.  Here is a one-page summary of the series; follow the links on the right-hand side of this page for more detailed information about our speakers and the readings associated with their lectures. 

This series is part of the Fall 2008 program Data and Information: Computational Linguistics; students in that program can find each week's seminar reading assignment by following the links to the right.

Lectures are open to the public and will take place from 3 to 4:30 on Tuesday afternoons in Lecture Hall 3 unless otherwise noted below.

  • 10/13/08  The week 3 lecture (on October 14) will be in Lecture Hall 1 instead of Lecture Hall 3.
  • 9/29/08  The week 1 meeting (on September 30) will go from 3 pm to 5 pm instead of 3 pm to 4:30 pm.
  • 9/29/08  Welcome!
