Subjective interest group

A subjective interest group is a group whose members happen to be interested in the same thing. This differs from an objective interest group in how the members are not mutually affected for better of for worse by changes to the community. An example of a subjective interest group may be skateboarders hanging out at a skate park. The shared interest of skate boarding is what brings them all together, however, it is a subjective interest because it has no bearing on the governance or structure of the community.
