My Town

Enter Aberdeen-
A welcoming “Come as you are”
Greets you high on a bluff above the harbor

Historic murals fill the city walls
Nostalgia from an era gone by
Images of loggers, hookers, bars, and booze

Quirky art
Stands caged at every corner
As if waiting to be unleashed to tell their stories

A bitter sweet smell lingers in the air
The aroma of a changing economy

Hopes, dreams
Past, present
History, and future

This is My Town
