Size:
Ranging between 0.91 - 1.22mm

Abundance:
Very Common.

Habitat:
Occupy coastal estuarine surface waters (<50m depth) during Spring and Summer.

Defining Characteristics:
Posterior corners of metasome not angular or produced as spines, last segment of metasome rounded; urosome of three segments; red naupliar eye; size not exceeding 2.00mm.

Life History and Reproduction:
Acartia clausi experience six naupliar stages followed by five copepodite forms. Adults spawn at night.
