Anisodactylus binotatus (Fabricius 1787)

Range: Palearctic, Ethiopian. Common in Europe; introduced to the Pacific Northwest, British Colombia south to Oregon (see Lindroth 1961-1969:851).

Natural History: The species prefers moderately moist ground with rich vegetation, usually near water. In Europe it hibernates as an adult (Lindroth 1961-1969:852).

The Evergreen State College collection has two specimens, one with date 19 April 1991, the other just "October." Both indicate "TESC" on the label, but no further details.
