Description:

Thorax Head Abdomen
Scutum in front of tegulae yellow; thoracic pleura black. Pile of face mixture of yellow and black. Gastral terga 5 and 6 white.

Identification:
This common species is easily identified by its white pile on gastral terga 5 and 6.

Geography:
B. occidentalis is found in the Western states from central British Columbia to central California.
