The rates of movement and stasis of driftwood is very poorly known. We will mark and map pieces of dritwood on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean in Olympic National Park, near Kalaloch. Working in small groups, we will map exising driftwood and mark them with tags.

We will return during week nine to re-map and mark new driftwood. Driftwood movement, input, and output rates will be calculated.
