Forensics & Criminal Behavior


Spring Quarter 2007

This is a fluid document that may be adjusted to best suit the learning goals of the program. It is recommended that you reexamine this web page on a regular basis. Changes will be announced in class and posted on this site.

In general, students enrolled for 8 credits need to be in class Mondays and Wednesdays, other than Week 10 (Tuesday, June 5th) when they will also need to attend class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Students enrolled in the 16 credit portion of the program need to be in class Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.  They also will meet with their groups all day either on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays (meeting times determined by group).



You will be reading some materials in preparation for lectures and other materials in preparation for seminars.  Complete the readings before the day in which they are listed. Some of our readings are on reserve at the library circulation desk

FIELD TRIP

Field trip to the courts (in Olympia) with Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court, Justice Alexander

We need to meet on the steps of the Temple of Justice (across from the capital building) at 9:50 AM.

You are responsible for getting yourself to the Temple of Justice. (Bus Route # 41 will be leaving the campus bus loop at 8:27 AM, with either a walk or DASH shuttle to the Temple of Justice: If you drive you may want to bring change so you can park at the meters near the Farmer's Market.)

We should be back to campus by 2:00 PM.

Search warrant requests and questions to the medical examiner are due to the evidence coordinator by 5:00 on Friday.

Week Eleven: Evaluation Week
Each student must attend a scheduled evaluation conference.  Do not make plans to leave campus before June 15th, the end of the quarter.  Bring 3 signed copies of your self-evaluation and one signed faculty evaluation for each faculty member on the official forms.  Write separate faculty evaluations for all three faculty members.  Conferences will be scheduled with your seminar faculty member.
