Hi Jacob, I seemed to recall the assignment was to not express gratitude to a romantic partner. I like that you did just that, because as you said in your post, it is easy to settle into the routine of day to day life and forget to express our appreciation for the people closest to us, the ones we love the most. I also enjoyed reading about the boomerang effect your gratitude letter had, that Jonathan then expressed all he was grateful for regarding you! Thanks for sharing this letter with us. It makes me want to sneak little love notes into my sweetheart's pocket. We text haiku poems back and forth on our cell phones, but there is something particularly sweet about a physical love note.
