Great analytical summary of the book. I epecially like your statement about "realistic optimism". It's true that we all have very different versions of reality. Who is to say that one person's is "right" and "realistic" while another person's is not? I disagreed with your thoughts on the catch phrases. While they were a bit hokey, I think that they helped to "drill" in the ideas that the authors were trying to present and made the concepts easy to recall and categorize.
I can understand you view on test taking yet I also feelthat sometimes they are necessary in order to systemize and prove theories.
Maybe your problem with the last statement was with the use of the word accurate? It seems to imply once again that there are right and wrong ways of seeing things.
