Lauren we touched on similar concepts in our papers. The idea that you touched on in your first paragraph… “Most people don’t realize how much power they have to shape their experience”… is what I based my paper around. I think you’re right though, people not only need the knowledge on how to achieve happiness but the motivation to do something with that knowledge. It would be great if more people were aware of these concepts and theories that we are learning….but if they already have learned helplessness and the “victim” attitude would they even do anything to change their lives??? Anyways, I enjoyed reading your paper. Your personality definitely comes out in your writing, it cracked me up, especially the “Big Mac and a Xanax” comment…so true.
