Delwin, you touched on some very key concepts:helping others is a worthy spiritual aspiration, helping others ultimately benefits the person doing the helping, and helping others allows us to focus on someone other than ourselves. I think all of these things contribute to our own happiness and well-being, as well as contributing to the happiness and well-being of others.
I really liked your comment – “There is an intimacy you share with someone when you help them move their life from one place to another.”I never thought of it like that before.I have moved six times in the last six years.I have had many people help me.I’m so happy to learn that it helped them too, (how come I’ve never heard from them again?)It’s about time for me to move again – what’s your phone number?
