Beth,

I'm quite proud of the work you have done in my classes. You are meticulous in your reading and notes and practice, practice, practice. I hope the section in the book on deliberate practice and the 10 year-rule was helpful. I was asked to be on a panel at St. Pete's later in February to talk about the brain and aging. I'll basically go in and do my dog and pony (no pun intended) show about neural networks, positive thinking, and it's relation to life satisfaction. Nuthin' fancy, just hard work. I'm pleased you are using what you've learned.

By the way, what would life be like if all one heard growing up was Barry White? What kind of neural networks, cognitive schemas and automatic thoughts would one have? Just a thought.I'm sure someone's doctoral dissertation will cover this soon!
