I really enjoyed reading your post. I too am a country girl, and have been all my life. I can't really imagine living a life without animals...or for that matter in a city. I also find my time with my horses to be the ultimate flow- that's what gets me motivated to drag out to the barn every morning in the rain...and love it! There is something very satisfying about seeing all the animals clean, fed and happy. Perhaps another example of doing something for someone else and reaping great benefits from it.
It sounds like you understand yourself very well and have come up with some effective ways to deal with the stressors in your life, not an easy task at times...
In my world, a horse hug and some deep breathing can solve just about anything.
