Sorry for the delay in getting the Week 3 Solutions Postings Forums up. You can find them linked above or here. For those of you who posted already, good job problem solving; I’ll move your posts to the appropriate locations.

Some slight modifications to the program activities for Wed. April 16. No change to schedule or rooms.

• Regular Wednesday Workshop, 8:30 – 10:00 and 10:30 – noon in Sem 2 A2105.
• Instead of Physics Lab, we will have a supplemental Discussion/Workshop with some physics but primarily focusing on this week’s pre-calculus. Bring your lecture notebooks and homework notebooks, 8:30 – 10:00 and 10:30 – noon in Lab 1 2046.

• You can find a Week 3 Precalculus Reading Guide here or at the Week 3 Calendar Page. Use this to help guide your reading in pre-calculus Ch. 3.2.
• Reading Response and Reflection 2 on-line form and printable version linked at Week 3 Calendar page. Due by 6 pm Sunday. We will discontinue the printable version starting next week unless we hear from you that you find the printable version useful.
• For your convenience and at the request of some students, we have added a Save Draft feature to the Reading Response and Reflection on-line form. If you Log in directly to the blog, using the Log in link in the navigation area to the right (two links below under Meta), you can Save Draft for your Reading Response and Reflections on-line form. When you return to the on-line submission form and are logged in directly to the blog, you can return to your saved version. Hope you find this useful.

• (Fri. Apr. 11 4 pm)  WebAssign seems to be having technical issues. Since it seems to be a WebAssign side problem, we’ll have to wait for them to take care of it. But if it lasts much longer, we’ll just extend the physics assignment due date once we are able to access WebAssign again. Thanks to those of you who let us know.
• **As of 9 pm, WebAssign was back up. The due date for Physics Problem Set 2 has been extended until 11:59 am (just before noon) on Sun. April 13.**

• from the Syllabus: “If you are concerned about your performance on a Quiz, you can submit a Quiz Revision which will serve as the basis for a discussion between you and your faculty. Quiz Revision and Discussion occurs at noon following the Math Lab the week after the Quiz is returned to the class (e.g. the Quiz given on Week 2 Monday is returned Week 2 Wednesday. The Quiz Revision and Discussion then occurs at noon following the Week 3 Math Lab).”
• The expectations for the quality of Quiz Revision solutions are higher than for the original quiz, since you have had a chance to take the first draft (the original quiz), had a peer review session (during Wednesday Workshop), have access to many resources (including this week’s Solutions Postings which cover many of the Quiz questions) and have much more time to complete this final draft version. You should revise every question on the Quiz.
• For this week’s Quiz (on the Week 1 material), you will re-submit the original Quiz, which you can find linked at the Week 2 Calendar page for Tuesday (future revisions may have special versions).
• This week’s Quiz Revision Discussion will occur in the CAL lounge starting at noon. You should come to the Revision Discussion with the Quiz Revision already completed and in hand. Bring your original Quiz with you as well.

• You can find the Solutions Postings and Reviews Assignment handout here or at the Week 2 Calendar page for Wednesday. Please follow the directions closely.
• Reminder: to access the Solution Postings, you need to log in to the blog directly. You do this using the navigation links on the right of the page; two links under Meta is Log in.

Reminder: on Wed. April 9, Physics Lab meets in CAL West instead of Lab 1 2046. Workshop meets in regular room: Sem 2 A2105.

• The Week 2 Calendar page has been posted. Some highlights and expansions are below.
• Reading Responses and Reflections 1 are due 6 pm Sun. Apr. 6. The online form for submissions is available at the Week 2 Calendar page, and here. We are not sure how useful this will be, but we’ve produced a printable version that you can have with you when not at your computer, which you can find here; you do not need to fill out or submit this paper version, which is just provided for hopefully your convenience. Please let us know if you did find this paper version useful.
• The Quiz on Week 1 material begins promptly at 8:30 on Monday April 7 in Lecture Hall 4. You may use your calculating device and a personally prepared 3 inch x 5 inch note card. Please review the information about the Quiz described in your Syllabus.
• Also for Monday, bring your precalculus and physics readings, flash-cards, and physics lab notebook to 8:30 Lecture and for the rest of the day.
• We begin the Solutions Postings and Reviews assignments this week, as you will see on the Calendar page. We’ll discuss this assignment more in class.
