Week 3 is a little non-standard due to the Monday holiday:

• Mon. Jan. 20: No classes. College closed due to MLK Jr. Day
• Tue. Jan. 21: Class meets as scheduled, beginning at 8:30 am in the CAL. Activities include:
  • Problem Session on Week 2 Problem Sets (come prepared for Problem Session)
  • Lecture on Week 3 Physics Reading (see Week 3 Calendar page, come prepared for Lecture, remember to bring Flash Cards)
  • Math/Physics Lab (come prepared for Lab)
  • Quiz on Week 2 material postponed till Wed. Jan. 22
• Wed. Jan. 22: Physics Lab starting at 8:30 or 10:30, **MEETS IN CAL WEST**
  • Quiz on Week 2 material at beginning of Physics Lab (bring notecard, calculator)
• Thu. Jan. 23: Class meets as scheduled, beginning at 9:30 am in Sem 2 A2105
  • Come prepared for Problem Session on Week 3 material
• Open Workshops on Tue. Jan. 21 from 1:00 – 2:30 and Wed. Jan. 22 from 9:30 – 11:00 in Sem 2 E2105
• Week 3 Resource Postings due (for Week 3 group) by 11:59 pm Wed. Jan. 22. Reviews due by 11:59 pm Thu. Jan. 23
• Week 3 Reflections due online, nominal due date 11:59 pm Thu. Jan. 23. Come prepared to discuss alternate due date in Tuesday’s class.
• Week 3 Problem Set due online (precalculus – WAMAP, physics – WebAssign) by 11:59 pm Sat. Jan. 23

Here’s the new schedule of weekly meetings.

Major changes include:

• Replacing Monday’s Problem Session with a Lecture/Seminar. Adds 15 minutes to the session. All weekly reading to be completed Monday by the 8:45 Lecture.
• Problem Session moved to Thursday. Class starts at 9:30, and meets in Sem 2 A2105.
• Tuesday and Wednesday Seminar replaced by (optional) Open Workshops, on Tuesday 1:00 – 2:30 and Wednesday 9:30 – 11:00.
• Skills Drills and Problem Sets in precalculus and in physics are now combined into a precalculus Problem Set and a physics Problem Set, both due by 11:59 pm on Saturdays, via WAMAP and WebAssign.

The week 3 calendar page is now available with the reading assignment. Check back for Problem Set posted.

On Thursday January 16 (Thursday Week 2), we meet

• starting at 9:30 am through noon
• in Sem 2 A2105 (note: this is a brand new room for us)
• Please bring with you the week’s texts, any Skills Drills that you have paper copies of, and the Problem Sets, along with your notebooks and other tools. We’ll be having a version of Problem Session (though we recognize that you likely won’t have had a chance to work through the Skills Drills or the Problem Set by Thursday morning, which is ok).
