High Up Tight
…Turbulence agitates the next passenger to the left.
He not finished the rest of his post-frozen
chicken fried steak. Passenger to the right wonders
whether he’d notice if she slips another piece the next
time he closes his eyes. After all, he’s had enough to drink.
You know, he says to her, in first class they give
hot towels
to calm the frightened but a cracked credit card don’t buy
happiness or micro-waved bath items.
