Equal Rights view point concept map

Here is my second concept map. I might still do some work on it, but I think it's basically complete.

Concept map about Religious/Traditional beliefs about sexual orientation

This first map was definitely a learning experience, so I apologize now if it's convoluted or confusing. Hopefully I didn't forget anything too major. I included a few headlines I thought were relevant examples. Links to the original articles should be in my previous research entries, although I think some of the Olympian articles have been deactivated.

Creation for Scientists

I already posted this, but I accidentally made it a comment on my other blog post. So here it is again:

For anyone interested in recent developments in the debate over evolution at the university level, this site is frequently visited by professors and big heads and such. You can learn about their battles and internal politics over tenure and encroachments made on curricula. For instance, there's this debate over a book recently published by Micheal Behe, an ID (Intelligent Design) guy you need to watch out for. Keep in mind, natural selection is assumed to be a current reality by almost everyone blogging on this site:  www.pandasthumb.org

Science for Creationists

There's this crazy new museum opening in Petersburg, Kentucky. It's elaborately designed and constructed in part by the guy who did all that stuff for Jurassic Park, but devoted in full to the "science" behind Genesis-- that is, the Earth's entire natural and anthropological history of 6,000 years. Check it out:

How Democrats Should Talk

From NYRB:

Penguin, 341 pp., $25.95 Words That Work: It's Not What You Say, It's What People Hear by Dr. Frank Luntz

Washington liberals and Democrats have made many arguments about what they need to do as they try to recover from the low point of their support among the public during the Bush years in 2002 and 2003 and climb toward renewed dominance. Most of these arguments have centered on the big questions of ideology and vision— whether the times demand a calibrated centrism or a bolder liberalism of big plans and ideas. But other arguments, put forward in many a blog post, have ignored ideology and focused more on the question of tactics.
