Look Up: Chemtrails

 

My Artist’s Statement:

Everyday I’m radically amazed by weather modification. Weather modification is the manipulation of the weather typically by the spraying of aerosols, aka chemtrails, from jet aircraft. I’ve been documenting and researching weather modification since I first discovered it years ago.

My literary text is in the form of a simple, personal essay. I didn’t want my tone to be biased or too threatening. I considered recording an aggressive poem but thought it altered my tone and message.

The images I chose are a compilation of images I’ve taken which include contrasts between natural and unnatural clouds, planes, chemtrails, refractions of light and close ups of what I believe to be the substances that fall from the aerosols, such as filaments and nanofibers.  The images were taken at The Evergreen State College and conclude the piece.

I’ve included short video clips and sound effects to give my piece a particular tone. Additionally, I’ve posted a glossary of terms that are mentioned in the essay.

Overall, my discovery of weather modification has taught me to open my eyes wider and to look more closely at the world around me and ask many questions.

For instance, I find it very interesting that an individual simply may not see the pink elephant in the room because he/she has never questioned it. Also, I’d like to study societal reactions to uncomfortable controversial information in greater depth.  Can it be presented artistically without distraction? I think our society imposes unnecessary fears of the unknown.

Another goal in this presentation was to release the inner fear I have of discussing controversial information that challenges the status quo. How do you convince someone that the information you’re giving is of importance?

I hope my video essay encourages viewers to look up—chemtrails.

Alex Olson-Bick was born in Dayton, OH where he lived for 4 years. He then moved to Port Angeles, WA where he lived for most of his life. He’s spent time in China, Vermont, Oklahoma, Texas and Portland, OR. Currently he is a junior at Evergreen who is exploring consciousness studies, politics, and media arts. Glossary of Weather Modification terms:

Chemtrail –Persistent lines of chemical-infused aerosol spray dispersals from typically unmarked planes which are now seen in the sky all over the world. Unlike normal jet contrails formed from water vapor, chemtrails spread to form a thick blanket of cloud cover, held together by polymer fibers until they reach the ground, contaminating crops, water supplies and humans with radioactive soft metals and dessicated red blood cells which contain active human pathogens. Cloud-seeding – Cloud seeding is the process where substances like dry ice and silver iodide are put into clouds in an attempt to make precipitation fall.  Cloud seeding has also been used to dissipate fog and weaken some storms. Source

Contrail – Contrails (short for “condensation trails”) are line-shaped clouds sometimes produced by aircraft engine exhaust. The combination of high humidity and low temperatures that often exists at aircraft cruise altitudes allows the formation of
contrails. Contrails are composed primarily of water (in the form of ice crystals) and do not pose health risks to humans. Contrails have been a normal effect of aviation since its earliest days. Source. 

ChemBuster (“CB”): Don Croft’s updated version of Reich’s original cloudbuster design which utilizes orgonite to safely transmute collected DOR into POR, and could be placed into continuous 24/7 operation to balance the energy between earth and sky. The CB is so-named due to its ability to disperse chemtrails. Source:

Cloudbuster: Wilhelm Reich’s invention which could, with careful and methodical use, direct the orgone in the atmosphere to bring rain to and end drought in a region. Source:

Geoengineering- Geoengineering is the artificial modification of Earths climate systems through two primary ideologies, Solar Radiation Management (SRM) and Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Source and Image.

H.A.A.R.P. – HAARP stands for The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program. The goal of this program is to further advance our knowledge of the physical and electrical properties of the Earth’s ionosphere which can affect our military and civilian communication and navigation systems. The HAARP program operates a world-class ionospheric research facility located in Gakona, Alaska.                    Source 

Weather Modification –  The term “weather modification” means any activity performed with the intention of producing artificial changes in the composition, behavior, or dynamics of the atmosphere. Source. 

Nanofibers – Nanofibers are defined as fibers with diameters less than 1000 nm nanometers.  Source

Morgellons – Morgellons (also called Morgellons disease or Morgellons syndrome) is a name that was given in 2002 by stay-at-home-mom Mary Leitao^[1] to a proposed condition characterized by a range of cutaneous (skin) symptoms including crawling, biting, and stinging sensations (formication); finding fibers on or under the skin; and persistent skin lesions (e.g., rashes or sores).
