In My Mind
Artist Statement
This is a look into of some of the inner-workings of my mind, which I have written in my everyday journal throughout the quarter. I’ve done my best to keep from getting too personal since most of it would consist of me complaining. Some thoughts are longer than others and there’s really no story line. It’s kind of disjointed, but my mind is often the same way. I chose images I took at the beach because it is one of my favorite places to be and water often relates to peace and serenity.
One of the most challenging parts of this project was conveying the right emotions. I get shy even in front of a voice recorder. I feel I have overcome this, to some extent as I did manage to get excited before recording parts of it. I tried not to yell into the recorder too much but since I can be kind of spastic, my voice actually gets rather loud in this video.
