"The Animated Room"
Treatment
This film is about a man and woman's breakup. They are lovers who do not understand how much they depend upon each other and do not give themselves credit for how close they are to each otehr. All the fisual images in teh film will be symbols. Shots of fl9owers, darkness, empty space, the changing sky, the ocean and Barbie and Ken dolls will be used to propel the story and convey the maning of the text. The mood of the piece will be very calm and sad and teh tempo will be slow. The only glimpse of actual peole the audience will be a man and woman's hands clasped together and then releasing. Partial shots of Ken and Barbie dolls faces will be shown when the man and woman speak. There are three lines of text and they will be spoken in a voice-over.

Screenplay
EXT. NATURE
We see shots of a rose, cloudsmoving, a seashell on the beach.
INT. AN EMPTY APARTMENT
We see a shaking hand surrounded by darkness.
MALE VOICE-OVER-
Come back to me! Come back to me!
EXT. TULIPS
We see a shot of tulips and other flowers planted in the ground.
INT. AN EMPTY APARTMENT
A man and woman's hands are clasped together, they let go of each other. We see a ken doll's face.
FEMALE VOICE-OVER-
You didn't notice that I was the chair you were sitting on!
We see a ken doll's face
MALE VOICE-OVER-
You didn't notice that I was the floor!
Barbie and Ken are sitting back to back on the wooden floor. the room is dark except for a candle on teh floor. barbie and Ken are shown again on opposite dsides of the room, then they disapear, and we see the candle in the dark room. We hear the candle being blown out an the screen goes black.
Continuity Script
1. INT. APARTMENT, MLS; a red rose lying on a hard wood floor, No sound, very calm mood.
2. EXT. SKY, ELS; a blue sky and clouds in windy day. The clouds are slowly moving. Music fades in very softly.
3. EXT. BEACH, ECU; a beach with a seashell. The waves come back and forth. The camera is set at a 45 degree tilt.
4. INT. APARTMENT, CU; suddenly, the screen turns dark it is hard to see anything. The man's hand shows up slowly and blurry. The hand moves slowly and the camera trails it. MALE VOICE-OVER- Come back to me! Come back to me!
5.EXT. FLOWER GARDEN, MLS; a flower garden. The camera moves left to right.
6. INT. APARTMENT, CU; a man and a woman's hand holding each other, then they release and move apart.
7. INT APARTMENT, ECU; barbie doll face FEMALE VOICE-OVER- You didn't know that I was a chair you were sitting on!
8. INT. APARTMENT, ECU; the camera keeps panning to the right then the Ken doll's face shows up from teh right edge of the screen. MALE VOICE-OVER- You didn't know that I was the floor you were standing on!
9. INT. APARTMENT, LS: ken and barbie sit on the floor of the empty room with a lit candle ont eh floor. High angle shot
10. INT. APARTMENT, LS; ken and barbie stand in opposite corners of the room. barbie and ken disappear, teh candle is centered in the frame, the candle goes out and the screen becomes dark.
