The Dirty Parts: Eric Partidge's Shakespeare's Bawdy is available in the reference section of the TESC library, so you can look up the naughty bits to your heart's content when on campus.
Program Description:
Students in Shakespeare Body & Soul interpreted their own lives through
Shakespeare's works, and interpreted Shakespeare's works through their
own experiences, voices, and bodies. They studied the history and social
context of Shakespeare's time and critically examined modern interpretations
of Shakespeare's works. Our writing assignments called on students to
find resonant themes from Shakespeare's works in their own lives, and
to tell stories that connected the two. Each student analyzed, memorized,
and performed a sonnet using tools from Linklater's Freeing Shakespeare's
Voice and Barton's video series Playing Shakespeare. Students experienced
the powerful intimacy of Shakespeare's narrative poems Venus and Adonis
and Lucrece, as well as reading Henry V, the Merchant of Venice, Hamlet,
A Midsummer Night's Dream, and the sonnets. As a final project, the class
presented an outdoor staged reading of A Midsummer Night's Dream framed
by our campus architecture and landscaping.
