Winter Quarter Activities - Week Two

 

Assignment:

This week your assignment is to come to seminar prepared with a two-dimensional cover for the book Cracking India. Be prepared to discuss how the cover you created refers to the beginning, middle, and ending of the book. In addition, bring your reading notes for the stories from The Inner Courtyard (this week's readings), and be prepared to discuss those stories in the context of 20th century India.

Tuesday, January 17

Workshops on language and arts. Note that Setsuko's workshop begins at 11 am.

Wednesday, January 18

Morning seminars will be on themes introduced by the readings; do not forget to bring copies of the week's reading.

1-4: rehearsals, films, and independent practice on your own.

NOTE: those students in the workshop of Setsuko Tsutsumi should come to Seminar II, D3109 for weekly films on Wednesday afternoons.
