Management, accountability, and performance - this course explores graphical methods that managers and staff can use to enhance organizational outcomes and tell their story. Of particular interest is displaying meaningful data for analysis, planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making. The aim of this course is learning: (1) the purpose, use, and limitations of charts, (2) how to use graphical displays to show accountability and communicate results, and (3) to enhance the clarity and credibility of graphical data.

Understanding the legislative process is key to influencing the outcome of future laws. Through readings, faculty and guest lectures, observation and written exercises, students will develop a basic understanding of the legislative process. Timing of this course will parallel the legislative session, permitting students to follow bills first-hand through the process.
